Review: 2000 AD Prog 2010

Judge Dredd, Flesh, Savage and Counterfeit Girl

My thoughts on Prog 2010 of 2000 AD

2010

An excellent cover for Flesh!

Judge Dredd kicks us off with a one-shot story called In Denial. It’s a fun story, with a bit of a serious message at the end of it all. The main character you feel sorry for, right until the end – if you’re up to date, then you know why. I quite enjoyed the art too!

Flesh begins to concludes in Gorehead, and the attack on Gorehead is going ahead, although things aren’t going to plan! not only is there Gorehead to deal with, but also more terrors! It’s excellently done, and the art is incredible. Gorehead and the terrors look fantastic (and that name sounds like a metal band!) I’m looking forward to seeing how this all ends!

Savage and his unlikely partner begin to bond in the Marze Murders – although, it’s difficult to say if this is because of the kill robots after them. It’s a fast moving issue with a  lot going on, the car chase is excellent. It concludes in a dark way, and although it seems that all is finished, I think there will be more from Savage in the future.

Counterfeit Girl concludes and we get everything wrapped up – no I’m not going to spoil it. What I did enjoy is the way it all fit together, it made sense and there is some excellent parts. The art and story is excellent and the ending is open-ended enough to allow another run at this character!
