Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2014

My thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD

Deep In The Heart continues Judge Dredds’ journey around Texas-City – you can tell he doesn’t like the marshals idea of justice and things aren’t going to end well for someone. He does get a lead on his perp though and that adds to the troubles he has, as it seems he isn’t your usual perp. The ‘justice’ gets you right in the feels, but it serves it purpose well. Next issue looks to be good as Dredd starts his countdown!

Part four of Kingmaker takes advantage of the excellent art – mixing old time magic and tech. We get some running and shooting, and then some magic, and it’s excellently told and shown. i like the not-so-friendly banter and the ending worked really well – I like the glamour and the way it was depicted too!

Hope For The Future continues in part 4 with a look into a nightclub. This is more a look at the criminal underbelly of the LA circuit rather than some magic. Although the use of magic to get in was very well done. We also get some sort of introductions with the local gangster boss who seems to have his own vices!

Part four of The OrderWyrm War continues the time travelling as we get more from the past/present/future. It’s interesting how some characters react – some not trusting, and some going with the flow. This is quite a fast moving issue with a big crash and cliffhanger for next week!

KingdomAs It Is In Heaven continues with Gene getting some understanding, and also imparting some knowledge of his own! It looks like there is a plan for catching Gene, but I wonder how that will go?
