Curse Words is a new series from Image Comics. We have got a magician and there is a little feel of Doctor Strange, but then as we get into it we find out more. Wizord is from another dimension, working for a ‘evil overlord’s and it seems he is over here to possibly destroy or planet. The spell, it seems, takes time and the longer he is here the more he likes it. Finally making the decision not to destroy the planet, he decides to become a hero. He’s not the best hero – he’s new at this! – and we get our first magic battle. This looks to be a fun, dark and interesting series and I look forward to more.
This issue of Mayday has ramped things up. The Russian agents are working their way to San Francisco to meet with their contact. Meanwhile the FBI are on their case and it looks like the chase is on. The joker in the pack concern the Russian agents – Rose has discovered the potential fate for Felix when they return and it seems she is struggling with it, meanwhile Felix is taking his mind off thing in other ways! I enjoyed this issue and although I was close to doing it, I think I’ll stick with it!
