Review: DevilSkin

DEVILSKIN
by David Accampo & Chris Anderson
From the creators of LOST ANGELS comes “DevilSkin” — a spooky halloween short in the style of THE TWILIGHT ZONE and TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE!

When Jimmy Crowder finds a devil costume in the woods, he hatches a plot to fight back at his tormentors, but may have gotten more than he bargained for.

This is a short story that really brought a smile to my face. a grim tale, and told with as a story. I really enjoyed this. The story of an old man telling a kid about the local legend of the devil of his town. The kid is intrigued and hangs on his every word – as I found myself doing. I really got into this tale of revenge and devils. It’s well told and well paced and perfect, not just as a short story, but also now as the nights are getting longer and Halloween is on top of us!

The art is excellent, and I expected this to be a black and white tale, which fitted the story well. Then we get the splashes of colour and that really makes things pop. The colour makes a difference and it also links in well to the story too!

If you want a creepy tale to read with your kids on Halloween – check this one out!
