Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2063

Some thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD

In this issue:
JUDGE DREDD: ECHOES by Michael Carroll (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

The echos are taking some shape and the reason (as I suspected) for them. This is a quite spooky story arc and Dredd is still reacting as Dredd would! I am enjoying this revisit to an old storyline, giving us some of the fallout that has never been dealt with. The twist at the end is very interesting, and I wonder where this all going to go!

ABC WARRIORS: FALLOUT by Pat Mills (w) Clint Langley (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

The attack on the ABC Warriors and their legacy seems to have taken shape, with things going really badly for them all! This is really action packed, with some brilliant art and action. I really like the layouts and the set up to it all!

BRASS SUN: ENGINE SUMMER by Ian Edginton (w) INJ Culbard (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

Brass Sun really ramps up the stakes with hundreds of lives at stake. I really like the set up and the reasoning behind it all. Well thought out and sets up what the team are up against in the future!

SAVAGE: THE THOUSAND YEAR STARE by Pat Mills (w) Patrick Goddard (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

Less mad action, but more madness in this issue. Things calm down in terms of attacks, but a further look into the Thousand Year Stare is interesting and the link to ‘real’ history really well done. There is some really good thriller aspects added to this part, with the watchers watching and the real threats!

BAD COMPANY: TERRORISTS by Peter Milligan (w) Rufus Dayglo (a) Dom Regan (c) Simon Bowland (l)

the mental PSD attack causes problems for some of Bad company, but it seems that not all are affected. I like the crazy art and the style of these issue, with some nice transitions and effects – it really taps into the mindset of the the vets!
We get another link to their past, but it does look like it won’t last long!
