Review: Dance Of The Dead #3

There is no safe haven in the Shadowlands! As Mystere and Jasmine escape each threat, they find another more deadly one waiting for them. Every danger they encounter seems to be pushing them deeper into the cursed land and towards a foreboding structure called The Tower…a place where legends say no one has ever returned from alive.

Joe Brusha – Writer

Julius Abrera – Cover Artist

We are at the halfway point in this otherworldly adventure, and it starts off with Mystere on the bad end of a fight. Not thinking things through seems to be a bit of a theme, and it puts both of them in trouble!
There is a fair amount of action in this issue and some mystery, but I think this is a slower issue than the others.

The flashbacks are interesting and I enjoy the tonal shift of the colours and the art as they begin to link to the main story. But I do feel there is too much going on and too many issues with all the characters. The duo seem to stumble from one problem to another, but there is some reason behind it all, which seem to be eaked out in the flashbacks.
