Review: Grimm Tales Of Terror 2017 B&W

Some thoughts on this special black & white edition of Grimm Tales Of Terror

Zenescope’s Grimm Tales of Terror has been a big hit as a comic and now it’s coming to the big screen as a feature film. This Black & White Special Edition includes a brand new short story based on the upcoming film as well as the art and script from the fan favorite issue ‘Black Cat.’

This is a special Grimm Tales of Terror. To link into the upcoming film we get a new short story which is linked nicely to the film, while being a good story in its own right. I liked the build up and it was a really satisfying ending. The artwork is really well done, and the Black and White style of it all really works. It’s also nice to see non-creepy kids in a GToT story too!
After that we get a nicely put together script treatment (with art) of the story ‘Black Cat’ It’s a good read and worth reading by fans and those interested in how comic scripts can be done – it also has some of the corrections showing, which are really interesting!
