Review: The Black Sable #5

Some thoughts on #5 of the Black Sable from Zenescope

Captain Sable and her crew have overcome one danger after another in the pursuit of the galaxy’s most valuable treasure. But now, with their goal within reach, all that stands between them and it is the deadliest pirate space has ever seen . . . the notorious Captain Blood.

Joe Brusha – Writer
Drew Andrew Johnson – Cover Artist

The penultimate part of this space sci-fi, is pretty much all action. With Sable being involved with most of it!

We get bug-aliens, gruesome deaths, space battles (with Captain Blood growing on me!) and one on one battles!

In between all of this, there are still the fuel cells, which have an interesting fate, which I’m sure will lead into the finale! There’s also the rescue of the crew which seems to go well.

The combinations of ground, individual and space battles work really well, and I like the twists and turns in this issue – roll on the end!
