Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2075

Some thoughts on this weeks Prog of 2000 AD

JUDGE DREDD: THE DEATH WATCH by Rory McConville (w) Paul Marshall (a) Dylan Teague (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

This had a real Future Shocks feel to it – starring Judge Dredd! I really liked it though – all the different factors keyed in well, with the city, Dredd and the usual fads the citizens have! It’s got a real dark humour to it all and I liked the build up and everything around it – including the robbery!

JAEGIR: IN THE REALM OF PYRRHUS by Gordon Rennie (w) Simon Coleby (a) Len O’Grady (c) Ellie De Ville (l)

We start to get an idea as to why Jaegir is on Nu Earth. She’s searching for something, something her father knows about! Luckily she’s got some backup, and this is still Nu Earth, with all manner of ways to kill you!

SINISTER DEXTER: THE DEVIL DON’T CARE by Dan Abnett (w) Steve Yeowell (a) John Charles (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

The beginning of an arc planned from the last time Sinister/Dexter had a run in 2000 AD. This is interesting and gives us a look at some of the other Gun-sharks in Downlode. The duo have been taking advantage of not being known, but now it’s going to bite them!

ANDERSON, PSI DIVISION: UNDERTOW by Emma Beeby (w) David Roach (a) Jose Villarrubia (c) Simon Bowland (l)

Anderson has assembled her squad and they are a bunch of misfits. It’s an interesting read, and it looks like it’s going to go deep into the Judges. I wonder if she can hold it all together as she has a rookie and two headcases to deal with!

STRONTIUM DOG: THE SON by John Wagner (w) Carlos Ezquerra (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

After last issues job offer, Alpha is not impressed – both with the job and the son of Wulf. He’s headstrong and wants to impress, but Alpha isn’t having any of that. Meanwhile, Alpha finds a bounty which may help, but they have spotted him!
