Some thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD – Prog 2077
JUDGE DREDD: FLAWS by Michael Carroll (w) Staz Johnson (a) Abigail Bulmer (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Tensions are building and it looks as though the Judges are one step behind. The two opposing forces are getting really rowdy and this looks like it’s going to cause more problems for the Judges – and make them look worse!
the slow build on this story continues!
JAEGIR: IN THE REALM OF PYRRHUS by Gordon Rennie (w) Simon Coleby (a) Len O’Grady (c) Ellie De Ville (l)
There seems to have been a mis-step in the plan as the Nort ship is shot down. Jaegir though, has a plan, and has given them some breathing space. The option of learning some more information about her father adds to this mystery, and I’m chomping at the bit to find out what they are after!
SINISTER DEXTER: THE DEVIL DON’T CARE by Dan Abnett (w) Steve Yeowell (a) John Charles (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
All chase scenes here, as the Devil is chasing Sinister & Dexter! The Devil can’t be killed and he doesn’t look like he’s running out of ammo yet! There may be a way out of it yet though!
ANDERSON, PSI DIVISION: UNDERTOW by Emma Beeby (w) David Roach (a) Jose Villarrubia (c) Simon Bowland (l)
Things are going horribly wrong for the Psi’s, and although they have a possible ally, Anderson finds herself in a lot more trouble…..
STRONTIUM DOG: THE SON by John Wagner (w) Carlos Ezquerra (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
Wulf’s son may get a reprieve! And in the meantime we get more of an understanding as to why Alpha has been so hard on him! It works well and it fits the character. It’s shaping up to an interesting story!
