The return of Durham Red and more thoughts on this weeks Prog!
JUDGE DREDD: THE PARADIGM SHIFT by Michael Carroll (w) Jake Lynch (a) John Charles (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A new story arc for Dredd, and it’s nice to see Joyce added to the mix! A routine robbery looks to have some links to the past. Over 100 years ago. I like these arcs, and it will be interesting to see where this goes.
SKIP TRACER: HEAVY IS THE HEAD by James Peaty (w) Paul Marshall (a) Dylan Teague (c) Simon Bowland (l)
Blake gets suspicious after his latest target was assassinated before he could get to him. His last words seem to have rattled his Client, and he gets a hefty payment because of it – that makes things worse. Blake seems to have some leads though and is going deeper – but, as we saw, he’s being followed, so there is more to learn…..
SURVIVAL GEEKS: GEEK-CON by Gordon Rennie, Emma Beeby (w) Neil Googe (a) Gary Caldwell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
More multi-verse fun here, with the gang going to a convention – only to find that they are one of the main events. This is a fun twist, which makes sense for the worlds we have here. The usual look at geek life as well!
THE FALL OF DEADWORLD by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
Deadworld starts the mission for real here, and we get a look at some of the gangs that have set up. I liked the Angel gang crack and this new character looks to be interesting. This is a slower paced one, but you can feel it building!
DURHAM RED: BORN BAD by Alec Worley (w) Ben Willsher (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
It’s good to see the return of Durham Red (and an excellent look on the cover) I like the Chelsea Blue alias, and she’s between jobs now! This issue was all set up for new and returning readers. There’s a job to do and it looks difficult and dangerous as she goes to look for a missing person!
