Training day in Hell for Mark. although he’s one of the nice or normal guys in Hell, he still needs to earn his dues. So he gets dumped off for training. First he meets Jack – that is Jack The Ripper! And Jack is a little screwy. He has his own ideas and the way he does things seems a little reckless.
This shows later in the story really well.
We also have John Dillinger too, and he’s not happy about going out on the rounds.
Mark isn’t at full strength yet, with Jack Testing his skills (and his resolve?)
The story is pretty fast paced and there is a lot to take in – especially the state of Hell and the rules, clans and different power grabs.
I really enjoy the art here to, with some good angles of view and some interesting layouts. There are some good scenes both close up and out in the open. Well laid out and shown.

Overall this was an interesting read, and I’m looking forward to the series continuing. Mark seems an interesting and conflicted character, so his dilemma is well done.

Of course, by the end, he has more immediate threats to worry about!
