Review: Snap Flash Hustle #2

The second issue of Snap Flash Hustle is out now from Black Mask Studios

As Haley navigates the pitfalls of her new job as an alt-model / middleman, Coral sees a chance to earn a promotion? and all it takes is one dead rival to get her to the top. The subversive hit series from Pat Shand (Breathless) and Emily Pearson (The Wilds) heats up every issue!

Pat Shand – Writer
Emily Pearson – Artist, Cover Artist

Thinks are looking bad for Haley. It looks like she’s out of her depth and things are looking bad. She’s not in the best shape to be dealing with all of this either. Those around her are dealing with their own issues, and she doesn’t open up to them. Secrets are not the best thing to do!
Coral seems to be in trouble too – the busts by the DEA are increasing, and she is called to the leadership to explain. Coral does a good job here, throwing someone to the wolves, while making herself look good. That’s how you deal with the adversity! She seems to take it well, as her comment in the car shows!
Haley gets to meet some of the other girls, and it sets up the cast really well. They each have their own issues, and Haley can sympathise – it was well done.
in the end, Coral makes a choice, she has crossed the line now, and what that means for Haley is yet to be revealed – a good cliffhanger ending!

I really enjoyed this issue, with a lot of talking, it really drove the plot forward. We got to meet the other girls and those who are in charge. The art continues to be excellent, with some nice, soft colouring and well done scenes. That final panel conveys a lot!
