Review – Robyn Hood: Outlaw #3

Some thoughts on the latest issue of Robyn Hood: Outlaw – Writer, Howard Mackie, and artist, Babisu Kourtis, continue this face paced bare-knuckle series as Robyn Hood becomes public enemy number one!

Still on the run for a crime she didn’t commit, Robyn falls in with a band of rogues and begins casing out a job she may not want anything to do with, but it might ultimately help her clear her name.

We’re at the halfway point and there doesn’t seem to be any answers about the predicament that Robyn finds herself. She does find some support though, the Underground is a criminal element, and they just may be able to help her.
She’s just got to pass a test.
She does this with aplomb though and it’s quite an action packed second half as we get to see Robyn go full-on!
I like the way this built up to the test, with some interesting details about the Underground and who they are. I’m not sure if Robyn totally trusts them though, and it will be interesting to see how the story gets back onto the main track in the next issue.
In all though, this adds a new factor and dynamic to the world of Robyn – even after adding a quick call to Shang (pre the current GFT).
