Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2151

Some thoughts on Prog 2151 of 2000 AD – out now!

JUDGE DREDD: GUATEMALA by John Wagner (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Dredd gets his boots on the ground in Guatemala, and quickly finds out the situation. He seems to have some thoughts in mind, and is staying pretty cool!

DEFOE: THE DIVISOR by Pat Mills (w) Stewart Kenneth Moore (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

Defoe gets some answers from a ‘madman’ but it seems there are some answers about his ‘other role’ – a good read and moves us quickly on to the next problem for Defoe – they may not only be too late, but just ‘late’
I like this issue, and the way it was set out – some dark humour too!

BRINK: HATE BOX by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)

We get a familiar face, and a look at how things seem to work – this is a slow build, but I can see the threads of the beginning. A good issue, with a nice hook to it all…

HOPE: UNDER FIRE by Guy Adams (w) Jimmy Broxton (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

An old debt comes in and it may just be another job for Hope – hopefully it will get him off the hook, but there’s going to be more than that! I like the look at the old/new drug on the streets – I wonder what that will all involve…?

THE FALL OF DEADWORLD: DOOMED by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

The chaos continues and there’s physical fighting, and mental fighting. I’m not sure where things are going!!!!
