Review: Transformers #14

Some thoughts on this explosive issue of Transformers from IDW Publishing

The Ascenticon Guard, Security Operations, and The Rise are caught in a three-way faceoff. Cybertron is teetering on the brink of chaos, but there is still hope for peace. And leading the way to restore that peace are the only bots that make sense: Megatron, Soundwave, and Starscream!

This was an interesting issue. We’ve got a stand off between two sets of Transformers. You can see the cautious approach from the Autobots and why. They want some questions answered. Meanwhile, Soundwave has some time to shine, with his negotiation skills. It’s very well done, and Bumblebee witnessing it makes it very interesting. I like the timing of the end.
Starscream gets some time here too – it shows his intelligence and the way he does thing (he’s just observing) – his comment on Bumblebee is very well done.
Things come to a head in this issue and there is an almighty bang for it all – the fallout is going to be big.
This issue had some excellent art, and the reactions of some of the ‘bots – Soundwave, Kup, Starscream were very well done.
