Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2182

The concluding parts to some stories here today. Some thoughts on the latest issue of 2000 AD – Prog 2182

  • UK and DIGITAL: 20 May £2.99
  • NORTH AMERICA: TBC
  • DIAMOND: MAR202060
  • COVER: NEIL GOOGE (a) GARY CALDWELL (c)

JUDGE DREDD: CHIMPSKY’S LAW by Kenneth Niemand (w) PJ Holden (a) Quinton Winter (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Completing the arc in a satisfactory way. I really enjoyed the completion of this story. The odds of outsmarting Dredd and getting away with it must be very high. This is also left in a way that can be picked up in the future.

THE ORDER: INBETWEEN DAYS by Kek-W (w) John Burns (a) Simon Bowland (l)

The return of The Order and we get one of the most one-sided wars! I like the mix of history and fiction in these stories and the art style is something to behold.

FUTURE SHOCK: A.I. ♥ YOU by Liam Johnson (w) Robin Henley (a) Jim Campbell (l)

I was going to say that the final twist in this story was predictable, but I was wrong. This was a very well laid-out story, with some nice clean art. The ending was pretty satisfying.

HERSHEY: DISEASE by Rob Williams (w) Simon Fraser (c) Simon Bowland (l)

The first arc of Hershey’s time here ends. And she does it with some panache. I like the reaction she has and how she does it. Where next for her though?

SURVIVAL GEEKS: CRISIS OF INFINITE NERDS by Emma Beeby, Gordon Rennie (w) Neil Googe (a) Gary Caldwell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

The final part and all is revealed. I like Tharg’s comments at the end, and there are some final references that should be enjoyed. *Snap*
