Cadet Dredd: Combat Ready by Matt Smith (w) Nicolo Assirelli (a) Chris Clythe (c) Annie Parkhoue (l)
These Cadet Dredd stories are always interesting – especially if you know the Dredd stories (Rico, Mech Judges). It’s good to see the training though, and often some of the times that make Dredd who he is today.
Finder & Keeper: Nuisance Neighbours by John Reppion (w) Davide Tinto (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bolland (l)
I really enjoy Finder & Keeper, and this is a touching story which draws on the history of East London, and has some ghosts. It’s really well written and has a happy(ish) ending.
Anderson, Psi Division: First-Class Citizen by Cavan Scott (w) Paul Davidson (a) Len O’Grady (c) Simon Bolland (l)
I always enjoy Anderson, as the leeway she gives is refreshing compared to *other* Judges. This was a good one, with something looking very wrong at a school. They are just too well behaved!
Future Shocks: The Queen of Mean by Laura Bailey (w) Andrea Mutti (a) Barbara Nosenzo (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A new Queen for the UK? Well, that’s interesting. It gets bigger and bigger, and the twist is the scam of it all. Nicely played out and a good finish.
Strontium Dog: Acceptable Losses by Michael Carroll (w) Nick Brokenshire (a) John Charles (c) Jim Campbell (l)
Good to see a young Alpha story. It shows his sense of duty to do what’s right, with some excellent action.
