Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2188

This week’s 2000 AD continues The Out and more from famine in Judge Dredd!

  • UK and DIGITAL: 1 July £2.99
  • NORTH AMERICA: 1 August $24 (per pack)
  • DIAMOND: JUN201305
  • COVER: BOO COOK

Judge Dredd: End of Days by Rob Williams (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Simon Bowland (l)

We get more of an idea on how famine works. Anderson is infected, and seems to use some of her power to fight it off. Dredd goes alone. Then we see famine…

The Out by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Here’s the hook. It’s a good one and one you could see coming. I like it though and it feels like Grey Area in reverse. Maybe we’ll get a crossover?

Full Tilt Boogie by Alex de Campi (w) Eduardo Ocana (a) Simon Bowland (l)

Some crazy teen hijinks in this issue. Selfies and more galore. Interesting, I do feel we’re treading water slightly though.

The Order: Land of the Free by Kek-W (w) John Burns (a) Simon Bowland (l)

It looks like the battle is now on and there is a little history to go with it. I like the history side and the battle looks to be a bit one-sided!

The Diaboliks: Profundo Rosso by Gordon Rennie (w) Dom Reardon (a) Jim Campbell

A nice link to the end of the previous arc. And it introduces a new character – well done. I like the time jump in this issue.
