Review: Sasquatch In Love #1

Out this week as a digital exclusive, Sasquatch In Love #1 is out from Action Lab Entertainment.

Meet Holden: he’s well-read, caring, and single. He’s also the world’s last Sasquatch. When Holden falls for Grace, the filmmaker who’s come to rural Oregon to make a Bigfoot documentary, he enlists the aid of his best friend — local veterinarian Felix — to find out more about her.

We start the story with a quick introduction to Sasquatch. He has a name actually and his name is Holden. He also has a friend – Felix – who in this case is helping him sort his Ikea furniture.

This gives us the tone of the story to expect…

We also get a fun look at the hook of this story. There’s a Sasquatch hunter in town and he has an idea on how to catch the elusive beast – he is going to woo him.
With some help from his student camerawoman.

What follows is a fun romp as Sasquatch Holden falls for the lady of his dreams. Although it’s not the hunter.
Roping in Felix (after a short guilt trip) makes a fun process and finishes off with some realisations. This allows the story to continue in a logical manner, and adds more tension to the story.

The art is fun and cartoony, with some excellent effects and colouring which match the tone of the story.

It’s a fun read, and a good younger comic to read too.
