Review: The Citizen #1

A new digital fist from Action LabThe Citizen #1 is out this week.

A journalist tries to cope with being the only non-super human in a city full of costumed heroes and villains.

This is an excellent twist on an old trope. Instead of one super person in a city of normal people, this flips it and has one normal person (and his dog) in city of super people.

There is a lot of fun to be had with all the super heroes and villains. With some good names and powers. Norman is well written and nicely done, with some good commentary.

The build up to all the issues is well done, with people looking out for him, their overbearing attitude is well done, especially when you realise who they are. Then there’s Norman’s roommate – this is a nice touch and I like the way he was caught out.

Hopefully there are some legs to this story, as I’d like to see where it goes.
