Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2198

Tharg’s 3rillers: Saphir continues and there is that cliffhanger from Judge Dredd in this weeks 2000 AD from Rebellion.

Judge Dredd: End of Days by Rob Williams (w) Henry Flint (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

After that cliffhanger, this was a tense read. I like how there are some massive stakes and now they have got even bigger. Dredd/Death is terrible!

The Out by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

After last weeks’ therapy, this was some good closure. It not only gave us some good history, but it also gave us a way forward. The link with the human in the early parts is a nice callback too.

Sinister Dexter: Ghostlands by Dan Abnett (w) Nicolo Assirelli (a) John Charles (c) Simon Bowland (l)

This was good – not too much action, but it is building up nicely. Someone is after the gun sharks and it doesn’t look good. First, they’ve got to deal with getting forward though! Another old face!

Tharg’s 3rillers: Saphir by Kek-W (w) David Roach (a) Peter Doherty (c) Simon Bowland (l)

Interesting. There’s a familiar face here (with a nanny) and I like the twists going on. This is leading up to an interesting ending next week!

The Diaboliks: A Crooked Beat by Gordon Rennie (a) Dom Reardon (a) Jim Campbell (l)

Ah! The reason for last week’s tease. I like the background and the way the Diaboliks are pulled in. It builds it up nicely for next issue.
