Spotlight: Section 12 (Flashback)

Back to the 90’s with these comics from Lenovations Press.

Section 12 was a comic series created in the early 90s by writer Len Mihalovich. The story involved a team of people who gain super-powered individuals being forced to help a secret government agency keep scientific failures out of the public eye.

The series was originally part of Dilemma Productions anthology book Dilemma Presents and ran for four issues. In 1997 it was picked up as its own title by publisher Mythic Comics. After printing Section 12 #1 Mythic was forced to shut it’s doors due to an economic downturn in comic book sales.

Going back 20 years now (!) these comics have now been continued and have a free issue #1 available to read.

Issue one gives us an excellent starting point. There is lots to explain here, but it’s mixed in well with the action.
Creepy government experiments, black ops teams and super powers. What could go wrong. Obviously as a first issue there is a lot left unsaid. What are the ultimate goals? And can Mike trust them?
In all this is a good read and I’m looking forward to reading issue #2 – I’m just glad I don’t need to wait 20 years.
