Review: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #110

From IDW Publishing this week is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #110.

Raphael and Alopex come face to face with a new group of mutant bikers intent on doing things their own way. Will the Road Hogs be friend or foe?

Sophie Campbell (Author) Jodi Nishijima (Artist, Cover Artist)

This was a nice split story. The first part was a well told, simple story. Raph, being hot headed as usual, ends up in a Race with a rival gang. What was good though is that we see Raph’s softer side, and that is what wins the day for him. This was some interesting character progression, and may bode well for the future.

Leo gets the meaty side of the story. With the attack on him from the previous issue, it follows straight away in this issue. I like the way his tracking is done and there are some excellent moves by Leo. The fact that he had some followers was well done too.

Leo gets led to Hob and, I think, the problem Hob has is that he thinks everyone is the same as him. What this does build up to though is the coming of the first clash between Hob’s group and the Splinter Clan.

I really enjoyed reading this issue. You get to see more of Mutant Town and there was some story and character progression. The art continues to be excellent, and there was some good use of the shadows – especially in Leonardo’s story.
