Judge Dredd: Desperadlands by Mike Carroll (w) William Simpson (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
This issue started off slow but built up into action well. I like the setting, and the attack was well done, and bloody. This looks like its going to get interesting here.
Durham Red: Served Cold by Alec Worley (w) Ben Willsher (a) Jim Campbell (l)
Some interesting pride here, and I like the way Red works – she’s trying to help. The why still isn’t going to give us an answer though, hopefully that will come soon.
Sláine: Dragontamer by Pat Mills (w) Leonardo Manco (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Slaine’s fight with the dragon was excellent, with some brilliant art. The commander is interesting, as is his dragon stud. I like the son in jail – that may come up later…
Proteus Vex: The Shadow Chancellor by Mike Carroll (w) Jake Lynch (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)
It’s good to see some action here, and this shows Proteus in all his glory. The commentary is well done, as are the rumours. The Silent look to be an interesting foe.
Hershey: The Brutal by Rob Williams (w) Simon Fraser (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Some good build here. You can see both Frank and Hershey are both having problems. They both have their demons. The boxing part is well-drawn, with some excellent scenes.
