Review: Legacy Of Mandrake The Magician #4

The final part of this excellent legacy series from Red 5 Comics. This is Legacy Of Mandrake The Magician #4

Final issue! It’s time for Mandy, the new Mandrake the Magician, to live up to the legacy and save the day! Problem is, the more she uses her powers, the more she loses the fight. Is she ready to face the biggest threat of her life… and the biggest secret of her past

Written by Erica Schultz. Art by Diego Giribaldi and Juan Pablo Massa. Cover by Amelia Vidal

Those final part isn’t just a knock down fight. There is a lot to take in here.

First things first there are some discoveries here. And that big one is very interesting and adds a new dimension to the take told in the previous issue.

There is some fighting though and the art and colouring really combine well with the story here. It’s big and very nicely done. On to of that though, there is some good family stuff and ‘real life’ too. The support Mandy gets from those around her is well told.

This has been an enjoyable series. Not leaving too hard on the nostalgia, while being that history to now. The links throughout are well added and the ending can only build on that.

This was a satisfactory conclusion to a well told and shown story.
