Out this week from Rebellion, here are my thoughts on 2000 AD Prog 2217.
Judge Dredd: Naked City by Ken Niemand (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Jim Boswell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Oh, my god. That is something in this issue. A funny story that bares it all. Pretty much. A good palate cleanser for the next arc.
Durham Red: Served Cold by Alec Worley (w) Ben Willsher (a) Jim Campbell (l)
Things are getting tense here, as Red gets on with her plan, things go worse in other ways. I like the tension in this issue.
Sláine: Dragontamer by Pat Mills (w) Leonardo Manco (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Slaine is doing what he does best in a fantastic sequence, but he may be playing into the Generals hands. An interesting addition to the mythology here though.
Proteus Vex: The Shadow Chancellor by Mike Carroll (w) Jake Lynch (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)
Things don’t look good for Vex or Midnight here. They are both going to pay – unless there is a way out? An interesting issue.
Hershey: The Brutal by Rob Williams (w) Simon Fraser (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Things are going badly for Hershey here. Frank has a point and it will be interesting to see what happens next.
