Review: Grimm Fairy Tales #45

From Zenescope Entertainment this week is the latest issue of Grimm Fairy Tales – some thoughts below:

As Skye’s quest to free Shang from the Dark Book continues, she’ll soon learn not everyone wants her to succeed at her task, some more adamantly than others. Be sure not to miss this next chapter in Skye’s journey!

Writer: Dave Franchini
Artwork: Vicente Cifuentes & Renzo Rodriguez

Another step forward for Skye to the return of Shang. This was a fast paced issue, with only a small addition to the overreaching story.

Skye is looking for clues and there seems to be some out in the cold mountains. It interesting that she would go to these places alone, but here we are.

It’s lucky she can handle herself though as there is someone in the way. There is a new foe to fight against, and it’s based on a story that I vaguely recall.

I think that this issue does a good job on detailing what is against Skye and her colleagues, all the while stacking the deck against her. There is a glimpse of redemption here, which I wonder may play into the larger story.
