Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2224

The latest Prog of 2000 AD from Rebellion, out this week and with my thoughts below…

Judge Dredd: Who Killed Captain Cookies by Kenneth Niemand (w) PJ Holden (a) Quinton Winter (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

A good conclusion to the story, and a unique ending for some in the world of Mega-City One. Dredd was used well here, and I wonder how long it will be until he and Chimpsky come head to head?

Thistlebone: Poisoned Roots by TC Eglington (w) Simon Davies (a) Simon Bowland (l)

Some interesting history of the area. It all builds up well. Soon, I’m sure, we will find out what happened at the scout camp. I like the mysterious character, and things don’t look good for the archeologist!

Nakka of the S.T.A.R.S by Roger Langridge (w) Brendan McCarthy (a) Len O’Grady, Brendan McCarthy (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

A fun conclusion to the story, with some answers and zany escapades. I like the reveal and the conclusion. It feels familiar, but has a fun sc-fi/futuristic feel!

Feral & Foe II by Dan Abnett (w) Richard Elson (a) Jim Campbell (l)

I’m glad to see this series back. It was an interesting beginning, and shows us how they get out of the fix of the last stories conclusion. Not without its costs though. I like the double twists on this story and what is to come.
