Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2228

From Rebellion this week, here are some thoughts on 2000 AD – Prog 2228:

  • NORTH AMERICA: 26 May 2021 $21 (per pack)
  • DIAMOND: FEB211480

Judge Dredd: The Penitent Man by Kenneth Niemand (w) Tom Foster (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Things really ramping up here. Dredd’s experience about Titan, and the history of the ex-Judge are interesting. I like his thoughts on the rookie Judge. SJS are getting their hands dirty now – will Dredd be able to pin them?

Thistlebone: Poisoned Roots by TC Eglington (w) Simon Davies (a) Simon Bowland (l)

More about the ill-fated camping trip – I was beginning to worry that we wouldn’t get all of it! I like the links we are getting, with the illnesses too…

Sláine: Dragontamer by Pat Mills (w) Leonardo Manco (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Completing this arc in a fantastic fashion. That final panel will stick with me. I like Slaine’s plan here, as well as his method – pretty subtle really!

Tharg’s 3rillers: Chorus & The Ring by James Peaty (w) Mike Collins (a) Dylan Teague (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Completing this story, this was a predictable, yet fun, ending. I like the action scenes and the finish was quite satisfying.

Feral & Foe II by Dan Abnett (w) Richard Elson (a) Jim Campbell (l)

Side Quest! Excellent – this adds some more to this story, whilst giving us some information. I like the item needed (and the name). This continues to be a good read.
