Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2232

The latest Prog – 2232 – is out now from 2000 AD, with some stories ending their arcs this week…

Judge Dredd: Easy Money by Michael Carroll (w) Simon Fraser (a) Gary Caldwell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

An interesting ending to the story and I have to admit – it’s not somewhere I thought it would go. Dredd makes us expect the worse – for some, it was, but…

Thistlebone: Poisoned Roots by TC Eglington (w) Simon Davies (a) Simon Bowland (l)

Completing the arc. Hopefully, we shall see more from Thistlebone, but this was a satisfying conclusion. I like the twist on the ritual and the end panel.

Tharg’s 3rillers: Intestinauts – Symbiotic Love Triangle by Arthur Wyatt (w) Pye Parr (a+l)

A good ending here, and I like the way this finishes off. A nice use of the ‘!’ at the end. It was a well-told story, with some good aspects to it. I hope the Intestinauts return.

Terror Tales: Dry Spell by John Tomlinson (w) Steven Austin (a) Simon Bowland (l)

interesting use of curses here, and I like the way it builds up. The characters are well done and one is unlikable enough to enjoy what is coming.

Feral & Foe II by Dan Abnett (w) Richard Elson (a) Jim Campbell (l)

This really made me smile, and I wonder how this is all going to end up. There was some excellent character moments going on here, and the art continues to be excellent.
