Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2235

From Rebellion this week is the latest Prog of 2000 AD – It’s Prog 2235

Judge Dredd: Brief Encounter by Ken Niemand (w) Dylan Teague (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

A different look at the lot of the citizens of Mega-City One. I like the build to this and it adds some more for new readers on what it’s like in the city. A bit of a bitter ending.

Mechastopholes: The Hunting Party by Gordon Rennie, Laurence Rennie (w) Boo Cook (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

A look at the problems inside the demon-powered mech. I like the way it looks at it all. The art is fantastic, and it looks like we have a quest!

Department K: Cosmic Chaos by Rory McConville (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Len O’Grady (c) Simon Bowland (l)

A fun beginning, and I like the way this is going. There is some good humour here. I like the build-up and the way it is set up. The last panel made me smile.

Feral & Foe II by Dan Abnett (w) Richard Elson (a) Jim Campbell (l)

There’s a lot going on here, and this is where it looks like things are really going to kick off. That final panel was chilling.

Chimpsky’s Law: The Talented Mr Chimpsky by Kenneth Niemand (w) PJ Holden (a) Chris Blythe (c) Simon Bowland (l)

A lot of information here, but it’s all relevant. I like how unlikable the humans are here. Chimpsky’s task got a lot harder.
