Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2237

From Rebellion and out now is 2000 AD – Prog 2237.

I love this cover by Dave Kendall – very dark and some great colours!

Judge Dredd: Removal Man by John Wagner (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

The problems of a hitman, I like the way this built up, with the problems with covering tracks. I like the way that Dredd is digging from the other side. This will be interesting to see who gets there first.

Mechastopholes: The Hunting Party by Gordon Rennie, Laurence Rennie (w) Boo Cook (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

The end of the arc. Although short, this was very interesting and adds a little more to the mythos of the demon(s). I like the way this panned out, and there should be a question mark at the end…

Department K: Cosmic Chaos by Rory McConville (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Len O’Grady (c) Simon Bowland (l)

Deep inside a dead locust. I like the build on this, and there are many questions to ask. This was well done and makes it more interesting. Outside of Mega-City One, but with familiar type characters.

Chimpsky’s Law: The Talented Mr Chimpsky by Kenneth Niemand (w) PJ Holden (a) Chris Blythe (c) Simon Bowland (l)

Things are getting worse for Chimpsky. I like the way this panned out, and it looks like we’re going to be getting to the bottom of all this.

Skip Tracer: Eden by James Peaty (w) Paul Marshall (a) Dylan Teague (c) Jim Campbell (l)

The return of Skip Tracer. With a good example of his power, and a new mission. It’s early days, so I wonder what is going on…
