Out now from Rebellion is the latest Prog of 2000 AD – Prog 2239
Judge Dredd: Removal Man by John Wagner (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A good end to the arc. Things played really well. I like the role that Dredd has in this story. There is an open-ended finish to this one, and I like that fact. Someone different for Dredd to chase.
Aquila: The Rivers of Hades, Book One by Gordon Rennie (w) Patrick Goddard (a) Dylan Teague (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
We get a look at the threats ranged against Aquila and his motley crew. I like the action, and some of the comments made me smile. There’s something else coming though…
Department K: Cosmic Chaos by Rory McConville (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Len O’Grady (c) Simon Bowland (l)
We discover what killed the Locus in this issue, but there are still questions as to why. I like the set-up, and the final panel was well done. I enjoyed the art style too.
Skip Tracer: Eden by James Peaty (w) Paul Marshall (a) Dylan Teague (c) Jim Campbell (l)
An interesting flashback with Nolan showing some of the things he used to get up to. It has a decent amount of action, and I like the way it sets up the relationship. Nevertheless, the final panel was an interesting setup.
Chimpsky’s Law: The Talented Mr Chimpsky by Kenneth Niemand (w) PJ Holden (a) Chris Blythe (c) Simon Bowland (l)
Some very interesting twists here. I love the inner monologue and there were some interesting facts given here. Then there are more twists to come. I love this series.
