Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2241

Out now from Rebellion, this is 2000 AD – Prog 2241:

Department K getting some cover action from Dan Cornwell

Judge Dredd: Now That’s What I Call Justice! by John Wagner (w) John Higgins (a) Sally Hurst (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

The investigation continues, and you have to wonder how long it will be until Dredd is targeted. The reasons behind the Judge killings are interesting, and I like the build on this. The link to the previous issue at the end was well done.

Aquila: The Rivers of Hades, Book One by Gordon Rennie (w) Patrick Goddard (a) Dylan Teague (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

The rush through Hades continues, and there is a little action here. Most of it is building towards the next issue.

Department K: Cosmic Chaos by Rory McConville (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Len O’Grady (c) Simon Bowland (l)

We get some interesting answers here, I like the way it is told too. The art is excellent here, and I like the claustrophobic feel to it all.

Skip Tracer: Eden by James Peaty (w) Paul Marshall (a) Dylan Teague (c) Jim Campbell (l)

Nolan steps up pretty quick here, and you can understand why. I like the build in this and the final panel is very good – a tease for the next issue.

Sinister: Its Own Devices by Dan Abnett (w) Steve Yeowell (a) John Charles (c) Simon Bowland (l)

An interesting few twists here, and things look to be changing. I wonder where it will all go. The last panel was a little creepy!
