Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2251

From Rebellion this week is 2000 AD – Prog 2251, continuing on last week’s jumping on point stories.

Judge Dredd: The Hard Way by Rob Williams, Arthur Wyatt (w) Jake Lynch (a)

The attack is on, and we get to see Dredd at his best here. I like the knowledge shown here and the attack doesn’t seem to be going to plan exactly. That doesn’t mean that the Judges are on the easy street though as the ending shows. I like the ‘Brit-Cit’ Mech Judge, although he doesn’t last long!

Scarlet Traces: Storm Front by Ian Edginton (w) D’Israeli (a)

More history of the invasions as Earth looks for allies. I like the way it is told and I wonder how this is going to move on. The ‘martian’ history was interesting and shows what they are like.

The Out Book II by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a)

This made me smile. I love the eulogy, and the finish gives us a quest for the rest of the story. I like the mixing of cultures. The ‘HILF’ comment was brilliant. This continues to be a crazy read, and art to match.

The Diaboliks: Arrivederci Roma by Gordon Rennie (w) Antonio Fuso (a)

Some dark humour here, which gets very dark and interesting at the end. The magic used was interesting and adds to the tension of the story. The ending is interesting and I have a horrible feeling it won’t end well.

Pandora Perfect: Mystery Moon by Roger Langridge (w) Brett Parson (a)

A fun finish to the prog, with some good humour and a threat that I spotted coming. I wonder how this will go? Not well!
