Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2252

From Rebellion this week is the latest issue of 2000 AD – Prog 2252.

  • UK and DIGITAL: 6 October £3.25
  • NORTH AMERICA: 24 November $26 (per pack)
  • DIAMOND: AUG211972
  • COVER: Cliff Robinson (a) Dylan Teague (c)

Judge Dredd: The Hard Way by Rob Williams, Arthur Wyatt (w) Jake Lynch (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Things are ramping up here, as is the body count. There is a nice twist and turn here as we think help is on the way. The planning looks good, and trouble for Dredd and Maitland!

The Diaboliks: Arrivederci Roma by Gordon Rennie (w) Antonio Fuso (a) Jim Campbell (l)

We get an idea of the whole arc here, and the reasons behind it. I like the twist and the reactions of the characters – especially the priest!

Scarlet Traces: Storm Front by Ian Edginton (w) D’Israeli (a) Simon Bowland

Some good character moments here, with a little history and trouble for some. The tension of waiting on a decision is finished well, and a big ending for the next issue.

Pandora Perfect: Mystery Moon by Roger Langridge (w) Brett Parson (a) Simon Bowland

Some interesting parts here, and I wonder where it is leading – this seems a longer story than I was expecting. Some good humour and a nice finish to the issue – setting up some revenge in the future.

The Out Book 2 by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Some interaction with other humans is interesting with some very different (and slightly creepy) reactions. I love some of the comic timing here, and some new looks at the Out.
