Review: TRAKOVI

Issues #1 and #2 of this new series – Fresh off a successful Kickstarter from 3Press Comics. This is TRAKOVI, The Slav with No Remorse.

A botched road heist on the outskirts of the Northern Canadian city of Edmonton results in a fatal school bus crash that generates devastating ripples in the Community as well as its small contingent of ‘recovering’ Villains. At the center of the gruesome happening is The Slav with No Remorse…TRAKOVI! His involvement and shocking decision made during the accident has put into motion events that will affect both himself and those closest to him as they all struggle to leave the criminal lifestyle behind. The harrowing affair also introduces the barbarous WENDY, who brings ferocious retribution and a surprising past that TRAKOVI never knew! But one that will change his life forever. Think Guy Ritchie meets Everything is Illuminated!

Adriean Koleric

This is certainly something different!

That’s not too say it’s growing, because it is. I had no idea what to think going into this, but coming out of these first two issues, it’s something special and will be on my mind.

From the stunning beginnings to this story we get taken through a twisty-turney story, meeting a whole host of interesting characters. These characters are pretty interesting too, with some stories that I would love to read.

These characters make up an excellent tapestry, with so many ways things can go – and that’s even before we meet Wendy.

There’s a lot of building done in these first two issues, and I highly recommend getting both issues, as they really give you something.

That art is boombastic and mind blowing, with a brilliant unique style. This is something to behold as the characters jump of the page (or screen) with an in-your-face style.

There’s some boarding scenes of violence, bad language, action and some forms of craziness in this story, but it brings it all together well in a binding story.

You can get TRAKOVI: The Slav with no remorse soon at 3Press Comics here.
