This starts to link some of the stories going on in the background of other stories here.
Mainly from the Robyn series, but Mystere has her own part to play.
I like the way this builds up the story, there has been little hints towards it all for a while, but this brings out in the open who is plotting behind the plots.
There is the reappearance from Talisman too, he shares a link with this darkness and has a fight on his hands. He has flirted with the dark side and has come out the other side. I can understand Mary not trusting him.
Nevertheless, there are some answers here, the who, what, how and why. There are some good answers here, and the larger sized story allows for some backstory and flashbacks to be told.
I like the way that this pans out. There are some fight scenes, and while they are not totally decisive there are some good points to come from it all.
In all, this was a good prologue issue to things yet to come. Some plots are unfolding and Zenescope do a good job in working these stories in parallel to the main story – ready to start up.
