Advance Preview: Johnny Recruit

Coming soon from Markosia is a new war epic – Johnny Recruit.

“Set in wartime Canada, England, and Germany in 1941, Johnny Recruit is a story about hope, heroics, and youthful ambition. When 14-year-old Big Johnny learns his uncle’s been captured by Nazis, he’s sure the only person who can rescue his mentor is – himself. Stellar bush pilot and expert game hunter, Johnny lies about his age and joins WW2 to find his best friend. But when a rival British pilot threatens to expose his secret, Johnny faces tough decisions no young kid should have to make…”

In addition to the fantastic sounding story, there is an interesting story behind it. The writer, 14-year-old Theo Behe, started this story with a school project. The story was about his great uncle’s adventures in WW2. He was a flying ace and this inspired Theo to write his own story.

It looks like it combines a lot of heart and action, and I look forward to reading it.

Canadian artist Tom Muzzell provides amazing artwork and this looks to be something to read from an amazing team of a great artist and an up-and-coming writer.

Seeing the preview below, this looks to be a fantastic story with some amazing looking scenes. The story sounds like an action-packed read, with plenty to get into.

Johnny Recruit is due out in March 2022 from Markosia.
