Coming To Kickstarter – Rotten Under The Snow

Time Bomb Comics brings new creators to the forefront

From Time Bomb Comics is a new Kickstarter campaign – Rotten Under The Snow.

Leningrad is frozen, under siege, and haunted...

One of the main aims of Time Bomb Comics as an indie publisher, is to provide a place to spotlight
newer creators writing the type of genre comics beloved by the Time Bomb fanbase. Rotten Under
the Snow, a horror/science fiction story set during the siege of Leningrad, is one such title.

Bizarrely mutilated bodies are found in the muddy snow of Leningrad. To solve the mystery and stop
an oncoming horror, a traumatised Soviet pilot with a terrible connection to what’s happening must
cross enemy land- and fight what is rotting inside herself.

This comic marks the first full length published work by the creators. Katie Cunningham and Mike
Bogdanović have both worked in comics for a while, with Cunningham having been published in
several Time Bomb anthologies, including the highly successful Brawler. She has also contributed to
several other anthologies such as Beyond 2, Ladies Night, Hellcat, Bomb Scares, Aftershock and Aces
Weekly. Mike has drawn work for several projects in the past and is about to launch a webcomic,
DARK, on webtoons. Colourist Danielle Wiebe has also worked for Time Bomb Comics in the past,
and has worked with Katie Cunningham on her stories for Brawler in particular. This publication is
also the first professional lettering work of Aaron Rackley, the founded of charity Little Heroes

Time Bomb Comics chief, Steve Tanner spoke about how spotlighting newer creators is part of what
Time Bomb is look9ing to achieve as it goes into its 15th anniversary year:

“Over the last 15 years Time Bomb Comics has frequently showcased the work of up and coming
creators alongside more established names. Rotten Under The Snow continues that trend, and I’m
delighted that Time Bomb has brought these four great creators together for what will be their first
published original graphic novel. It certainly won’t be their last!”

Writer Katie Cunningham echoed these sentiments:

“I’m so grateful to Steve and Time Bomb for providing the space to do the sort of old-school genre
storytelling that I love, especially as Steve has always put so much emphasis on female protagonists
in his Flintlock series. It’s all about preserving what’s great about classic comics while also inviting
in new readers and creators, which clearly worked with me!”

Rotten under the Snow will launch its pre-order through Kickstarter on the 1st of February with a
release date scheduled for later in 2022. As with all Time Bomb Comics titles this provides an
opportunity to get the book at a pre-order price and with exclusive extras that will only be available
through the campaign.
