Review: All Guts No Glory #2

From Zenescope Entertainment this week is the second issue of this mini-series. This is All Guts No Glory #2.

Unbeknownst to the general population, there are highly trained military
teams who bravely protect us from dozens of species of monsters that
we don’t know exist! And then there are the guys who clean it all up…
Craig and Jimmy are those guys. And while Craig has accepted his lot in
life, Jimmy desperately wishes to one day become an elite monster hunter
himself. But when Craig and Jimmy stumble onto a charming vampire
named Sara, they’ll be forced to decide if they should risk everything to
help save her soul…

Writer: Ralph Tedesco
Artwork: Jordi Tarragona
Layouts: Guillermo Fajardo

This issue, as the midway point really throws a lot in there. First, we get the introduction to the main vampire. The one who turned Sara. That is told well in terms of the flashbacks – I’m not too sure about the fart jokes though!

The action is all in, with some good aspects both on the human side and the monster side. We get a closer look at the cleaners and their backgrounds here. Craig seems to be an interesting character and he looks to have more going on than we first thought. He’s clever and has his own ways about it all.

The issue ends after some close calls with a good finish for the final issue. I’ve no idea where this will go.

Art-wise, this was enjoyable, with some good fun scenes and good action being told. I especially liked the way Sara turns in this issue.
