Judge Dredd: An Honest Man by Kenneth Niemand (w) Tom Foster (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse
The return of ex-Judge Kyle Asher makes this an interesting read. I like his responses and the other Judges thoughts. Dredd may be an interesting one in this story. It’s a slow start with some interesting promise.
Brink: Mercury Retrograde by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland
A lot to take in here in this issue. A lot of talking heads, but it summarises well, and leads us towards what is happening next. I’m starting to not trust what I know and will be interested to see where this heads.
Hope: In The Shadows by Guy Adams (w) Jimmy Broxton (a) Jim Campbell (l)
The questioning starts here, with a good look at the characters involved. There is a lot of talk about power in the movies here and I wonder if that is part of the story or a red herring? A good issue, although not a huge amount happening.
Dexter: Bulletopia Chapter Nine – The Thing in the Thing by Dan Abnett (w) Tazio Bettin (a) Matt Soffe (c) Simon Bowland (l)
The return of Dexter while on the run. A creepy community and comments about movie tropes. Things can’t be that easy?
Fiends of the Eastern Front: 1963 by Ian Edginton (w) Tiernen Trevallion (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A slower issue, but with some good fallout after the previous explosive issue. I like the comments and wonder where this will all lead…
