Leading independent publisher Abstract Studios has joined Diamond Comic Distributors’ Diamond Digital program, which makes digital comics available from independently-owned local comic book stores via in-store purchases or through their Websites. Terry Moore, the creative force behind Abstract Studios has been one of the successful self-publishing comic book artists of all time thanks to the success of such titles as Strangers in Paradise, Echo, and his latest series Rachel Rising.
On Wednesday, September 26th, issue #11 of the suspenseful horror comic Rachel Rising will be available in both print and digital versions from local comic book shops. Digital-only customers can purchase the issue for $3.99, while those who buy the paper version (for $3.99) can also get the digital version for just 99 cents more. As for the Rachel Rising digital backlist, the first issue will be available at an introductory price of 99 cents, with issues #2 – #10 priced at $1.99 per issue.
Diamond Digital plans to offer other Abstract Studio’s titles including Strangers in Paradise and Echo in the digital format in the coming weeks.
