Review: Diaries Of Invasion

The Story: The alien race known as the Eons initially came to Earth in the year 2000 offering peace to the people of the planet, because humans were a primitive race . Humans did not accept this and started a war they would live to regret. Three human hosts were captured and used for experimentation and then awoke in the year 2112 A.I. The Eons have decided to return, but this time not for peace but for revenge.

Available on Amazon for the Kindles this comic combines and excellent read of a diary (as the title infers), Sci Fi, Aliens, humans, soldiers and science. There is also a critique of the way humans are now.

Well written by Jeff Thompson, the 28 pages actually feel like a lot more, and although this could be read as a done-in-one issue, there is scope for more at the end and I could happily read more issues of this. We get a good understanding of the main characters, and although there are peripheral character you want to learn more of, you can see more of them being used in later issues.
The aliens are well fleshed out – their reasons and motivations, and it’s good to see that they’re not just a one-dimensional, all enemies are the same, enemy!

The art by Aaron Foster is nicely fluid and conveys the expressions and feelings of the characters well. I especially like the big, wide scenes – I also like the look of the ships.

Kindle comics deserve to get more reviews, there are a lot of them out there, and I’m pleased to recommend this title!
