Billed as a jumping on point for new readers, this prog gives you what it promises. With all new storylines and some excellent stories – this is for those who want their weekly comics that some companies only now seem to be getting into!
First of all, another striking cover from 2000AD that stands out on any news stand!
We start off with the traditional Judge Dredd story – Cypher – which kicks off a new storyline. In this story we get dealings with the East Meg contingent, some politics and plenty of action (including an excellent chase scene). Little knowledge of the story is needed beforehand and this looks like something big here is starting off.
Next up we start with a new Dandridge story, where the details of the characters and the beginning of the story are nicely spanned out. This works well as another introductory chapter for new readers and I expect it to all kick off next week!
Thargs Thrillers also kicks off with a brand new story with new characters and a new world (literally) this looks to be a fun kink in the usual ‘geek’ genre with some fun art and writing!
Finally we get the return of Stickleback with another introductuary chapter that explains who, how and where we are!
