Review: 2000AD – Prog 1837

Judge Dredd starts a new story arc here, with some further looks at the waste of Mega City One after Chaos Day. We get a good look at how Dredd feels about the events of Chaos Day and his role in the cause of it! The story moves quickly here and we also get a chance to see how the citizens are responding to the changes.

Next up is Defoe – following up the ending of last weeks grim beginning, we get that and a sit-rep of the current situation. It all looks pretty dire for them all, but we’re only just beginning, so it’s probably going to get worse!

Cadet Anderson follows up some leads and makes some headway in the meat of the case (geddit?) This was a kinder episode of the story for those involved, but there is more to come from this standard Cadet storyline.

Sinister Dexter – In Plain Shite – adds some more of the forth wall breaking and commentary on it – things go up and down for Finny, but there’s some nice touches here and a good way t extend this story!

Finally a future shocks that takes self reference to the nth degree – the writer must have had a hell of a kick writing this as we have a 2000AD writer involved in an Alien Invasion!
