Review: The Black Hood #5

The final part of this initial arc!

CONCLUDING THE FIRST, NOIR ARC OF THE FLAGSHIP DARK CIRCLE COMICS SERIES! “Bullet’s Kiss, Part 5”:The Black Hood finally corners the mysterious “Connection” on the abandoned seventh floor of City Hall. No cops, no witness — just the two of them, ready to throw down. But when the Connection finally reveals his identity, Greg realizes the game was rigged from the beginning. And it’s going to take all of the Black Hood’s strength to walk out of this building alive…

This final part wraps up the ‘origin’ of this Black Hood, with a large degree of violence and acceptance of the role. I’ve really enjoyed this first arc, and am looking forward to seeing what comes next! This is a dark story with corruption – both personal and political, violence and drugs. The finish was excellent and the way we are led to believing what the press are led to, only to be corrected by the narrator was excellent!
This is a series worth collecting!
