Reviews of a couple of this weeks digital comics from DC Comics!

Constantine: The Hellblazer #2

Somebody is killing the only friends John has: the ghosts that haunt him! How can you kill what’s already dead? John is going to find out and make this adversary pay!



Following on from last issues revelation that someone is ‘killing’ ghosts, what follows is a tour around Constantine’s world in America (you’ll see next issue why I said that!) It’s a good look, which makes good use of the guided view as well when reading it digitally. There’s some classic Hellblazer here, and also some nice aspects, especially John’s internal monlogue! There’s a sense of loss here for John, and I’m intrigued to see where he goes next in his old stomping grounds!

Gotham Academy #8

Classes are suspended for a funeral. So, is it really true that grieving students get all As?



A slower issue here – as fits a funeral, but we get some bat-related action too as a classic Bat-character gets a look in at the school! It’s very interesting as others get brought into the suspense around the school as well as a deeper look into the relationships of the students!
