The latest digital comics from Boom! Studios reviewed!

Big Trouble in Little China #16

Jack accidentally brings the spirit of the Pork-Chop Express to life!

Now in modern times, Jack is still adjusting to modern times, with computers and the likes. Nevertheless there is still things he understands like when to run! This was a faster moving issue with Jack and the team escaping from mainly normal humans – for a given definition of normal – there is some supernatural too, with some water powered sprites adding the mysticism to the story. This arc has been fun, and it’s not finished yet, but I wonder what will be next!

Lumberjanes #18

When April meets two mermaids who used to be friends but are now stuck in a crazy rivalry, she decides to put her friendship repairing skills to the test!

A new story begins in Lumberjanes, and after all the crazy, things look to have calmed down as they relax by the lake – then they get mermaids! There is a good introduction here, with rival gangs, a battle of bands and music and all underwater! This story looks to be another good one!
